My answer to this questions was a big YES! Dug around the Internet and found the homepage of XDD(?).
In addition to his/her cool FLV QuickLook plugin he/she has also created a Folder and Archive plugin for QuickLook.
- Download and install Perian
- Simply drop the .qlgenerator file into “/Library/QuickLook”
- Type “killall Finder” on the command line in a terminal window (if you don’t know what this is simply reboot)
- Browse some .FLV files in Finder and you should be able to hit spacebar to bring up QuickLook – Voila!
My thanks go to XDD ;)
For a few months now I’ve been using streamripper, a plugin for Winamp, to rip and save to disc tracks played on Shoutcast radio.
The great thing about streamripper is that the plugin slices the files properly and even embeds the ID3 tags. With the exception of the odd spill over from the previous track, it’s perfect! A great way of getting the latest tracks for your MP3 player.
Thanks to the above technique I’ve discovered a whole bunch of artists I would never have come across otherwise. Here are just a few examples:
Modest Mouse – Float On
OAR – Love and Memories
Both awesome tracks…
I realised I’d been missing something from the good old days. Baking! Now I know what you are thinking… its all part of being the modern metrosexual guy, honest!
Lets face it though, who is going to turn down home made (Nigella Lawson’s actually) brownies on a cold miserable day!?!?
Update: Keith has kindly pointed out that the title should actually be “A domestic god”. All I can say in my defense is that it was late!

If you don’t know what I mean by the title then look it up at Wikipedia.
FFS a team is a team… so why the hell does Sven tell everbody that England needs Rooney and that he’s the wonder boy! He’s a single player in a team of eleven! He didn’t even score!
As an England team member I’d feel pretty jacked off on hearing Sven’s comments.
… thanks for letting me get it off my chest.
